Because this is an aluminum free product, when considering my purchase, I wondered if it would be effective... the price is very reasonable compared to another product that I have purchased regularly. Nasanta also does a better job rolling on evenly and drying quickly than the higher priced aluminum free deodorant.
So imagine my surprise and delight when I discovered that Nasanta Magnesium deodorant actually works! Even after sweating through a tennis match, and not showering until the next day! Thanks, Nasanta, for solving my problem!
I have tried many natural deodorants and whilst some were better than others at masking underarm odour, Nasanta was the first natural deodorant that - with little-to-no scent - masked all odour. It also keeps my underarms a lot drier, something that most natural deodarants cannot do.
This is the only deodorant I have been using for four years. Occasionally I will try a new natural deodorant, thinking it may be comparable, but I still haven't found one that works as well as Nasanta. (I used the "mens" one for years as this was the only one that was available at first. I wouldn't call it "men", I think it is unisex).
I resorted to antiperspirant as usual and then hated the thought of spreading aluminum and other chemicals under my arms, so I once again tried a natural alternative. This time, I wasn't disappointed.
This deodorant actually works for me. It's unscented, so I can check its performance at any time. I haven't smelled AT ALL since using it. I also seem to sweat less while wearing it. But even after hard workouts I don't smell at all. My underarms seem to be unscented at all times now. It's weird, but ideal.
The only time I smelled a bit was after a really long walk in the rain, but it wasn't me, it was my shirt (and it was mild). I took the shirt off and smelled my pits and boom, they were unscented. That's why I'm excited to pair this with some new wool shirts I bought, as they don't absorb odor.
Magnesium is AMAZING, and I wonder if that's why this works so well. I've tried magnesium chloride spray as deodorant and it was only okay.
I'm about to travel for a full year, and it will involve some crazy long travel days and sweaty moments (the ultimate test!). I'll update this if anything changes. But if you've tried Crystal, Jason, coconut oil based deodorants, and others without success, give this one a try.
nasanta contains not a trace of aluminum. Alum-based natural deodorants do. For all the speculation about the biological effects of aluminum-containing deodorants (alum or aluminum chlorohydrate), the real impact of these substances remains unclear. Aluminum-based deodorants will probably not give you cancer or Alzheimer's disease -- but they probably won't do you much good either.
A complaint: nasanta's active ingredient is magnesium hydroxide, more commonly known as milk of magnesia. Milk of magnesia is an over-the-counter antacid and laxative that is normally quite inexpensive. While nasanta is packaged in a rollerball dispenser and contains glycerin and a couple of preservative ingredients (much appreciated in a bottle of fluid that's being regularly exposed to tissue), it's unclear why it costs $15 a bottle. Australian labor law? Import tariffs? It's mysterious to me.

I still get sweaty, but it certainly controls odors like a champ.
My only complaint, is its application. It is a roller ball, so you gotta give it a couple of rolls for it to distribute the deodorant.

I tried to evaluate nasanta's effectiveness as scientifically as possible by wearing it under just one arm for a week, while using no deodorant under the other arm. This way, I could compare the two and determine fairly objectively if nasanta was cutting the stink. For the first few days, it wasn't very effective. Both armpits were pretty stinky, and in fact at one point I asked my wife which armpit she thought had the deodorant and she chose wrong.
Needless to say, I was pretty skeptical at this point. But then I tried applying it a little more liberally, in a last-ditch effort to see if it would have any effect, and to my relief it did (not so surprising I suppose.) After one workout, the armpit with no deodorant was absolutely rank, while the one with nasanta was more or less odorless. Huzzah!
Beyond that, I love the fact that it doesn't have a fragrance, so it's not just masking the odor like some competing products, and it goes on completely clear and leaves no residue that I can detect. It's early to say for sure, but I doubt it will cause nearly as much damage to clothes as other deodorants or antiperspirants. The protection also seems to last for at lest 24 hours, sometimes longer. My only remaining worry is that it will run out pretty quickly--after only a week or two of use, the bottle is noticeably lighter, and this stuff isn't cheap.
So in the end, I'm pretty satisfied with this deodorant, but just know that you might have to apply it a little more liberally than you'd expect.

I can definitely report the daily itchiness of my arms has subsided. The first 48 hours there was still some very mild itchiness but that went away completely.
I think the biggest adjustment that I've had to make so far is the scent. There is none. No BO. No fragrance. Nothing. Part of me questions if its working but I truly think that's all in my head. My husband has even said he doesn't smell anything when I start thinking I do. Even after a run on the treadmill there is no scent.
Why only 4 stars? Because it's only been 5 days and I've been off work. I haven't gone through a typical day for me yet to know with certainty that the deodorant lasts all day. Just the fact that it's reduced the itching to nothing and doesn't leave me smelling rank is rnough, for now, for the 4 stars. I'll update my review after a month or two to see how its gone.
UPDATE: ONE MONTH LATER
I have to say my armpits feel great. Haven't had an itch attack for weeks now that my body has adjusted.
I will say my arms don't smell too bad either after an entire day, but they do start to smell after about 9 or 10 hours BUT not in a sense that they radiate stink or that I fear others around me can smell. Some days are better than others and some days I can actually workout without needing to reapply after an entire work day.
I'm very pleased with this product.
It is very expensive, but you literally get what you pay for. A high quality all natural deodorant that lasts all day.
Buy it, use it, feel the difference.
I've tried both Tom's and Every Man Jack - both irritated me (Tom's was worse) and neither worked as well as Nasanta does. I highly recommend this product!
I was surprised to find that the Nasanta Mg deodorant actually works very well. Even on hot days with a good amount of sweating there is no detectable odor, even at the end of the day. You still sweat and you can still slightly smell sweat but none of the bacteria-causing BO smell. It's remarkable. I have a little bit of a hard time knowing if I'm putting on too much or too little because of the roll-on but I'm getting used to it. Anyway, I'm ditching my other deodorant products and sticking with this one - worth the price.
There is truly no scent to this product at all and it dries to your skin within minutes. It seems to last about a day with no underarm smell at all. I will gladly keep using to avoid the aluminum exposure from standard deodorants.
4 stars because the complete lack of scent is kind of odd.
It goes on smoothly and lasts all day. This is also the only product I have ever bought, and I buy a lot, that the owner of the company wrote me to make sure I am thrilled with the brand- and I am.

It has a slight odor that isn't appealing, but isn't offensive either.
It rolls on fine, and dries nicely.
I wish it had a definite scent that would help a little as it wains, and would mask the slight weird "unscented" "natural" smell.
I will continue to use it until I find a better pit stick.
I epilate my underarms, and I wait 24 hours after epilating to use this roll-on deodorant. I haven't had any problems with stinging or irritation. This deodorant goes on clear and dries VERY fast. I'm very glad that I found a non-aluminum deodorant that works so well!
I apply it around 6 AM and it easily lasts to 6 PM. I have purchased multiple times and it usually lasts about 5 weeks. Note: I am a big 6'2 male who sweats a lot so the average user would probably be able to use it more sparingly.
The product is described as 'odorless' and while there isn't any added fragrance, the ingredients have a very subtle scent to them--perhaps the smell of magnesium? But you pretty much have to stick your nose in your armpit to notice it. Regardless, I like to wear men's fragrance and this deodorant does not interfere.
I think this is a great product, you might as well try it.
Just hope they add something to help the smell, something natural like peppermint might be a good idea. Otherwise I have no complaints.

So I did a lot of research before I decided to try Nasanta. I've been using it for about 3 weeks now and it is fantastic.
It neutralizes odor really well and lasts for most of the day and doesn't leave any residue on my shirts. It doesn't have any odor of its own which means you can wear whatever fragrance you want. I'd recommend this to anyone looking for a natural deodorant that really works.
This product is excellent. It goes on wet but dries quickly, has no odor, works impeccably for over 12 hours, and leaves me smelling better after it has worn off. Best part is no aluminum.

I prefer this product to have some minty/manly smell to it so that at least I can feel fresh psychologically. Perhaps essential oils have some questionable health problems...
So far this product is the one I trust most.
My sweat doesn't smell anymore, and the fact that this is unscented means that you are free to wear any cologne you want!
I have only used it for about two weeks so I don't know how long it will last but if it lasts the three months as they suggest, it's well worth the money!
18 Oct 2017 update - The company has been amazing with the exchange/refund process. Even though it did not work for me, I highly recommend giving them a chance...I have seen plenty of others having great results.
I would recommend this and would buy again.
I live in las vegas, and it gets pretty damn hot here, last week was probably a steady 106. Anyways, I've been using this stuff for almost 2 weeks now and it is freaking AWESOME! I ride a bike to and from work in the heat, work an 8 hour shift and come home and still smell...well...nothing really. This stuff is really scentless, so you may not have a fresh linen smell but you also got no lingering BO smell! And thats after some good sweating through the day! Which I will say, I seem to be sweating less, by no means does it keep you dry but I think it is because there is less product on your skin? it really feels like I have nothing on compared to some others that give you a slightly sticky feeling. I am truly amazed how good this stuff works. This is my first magnesium based deodorant but I have tried many many natural deodorants before this and almost all of them have left me with a rash eventually! So far so good with this stuff, my only fear is that it stops working or eventually gives me that inevitable rash. If anything changes I'll drop an update but I have high hopes right now!
When I bought this product I bought three others, and had tested two prior to this.
This does well and worked the best.
THAT SAID, BE ADVISED, that this is one of THE best deodorants I have EVER bought and used! I have used crystal sticks, Toms, Herban Cowboy, beeswax and all other types of natural deodorants. Some worked for a few hours, some didn't. ALL of them left my pits a bit stinky either by day's end or definitely the next morning. I usually wear performance type shirts, and blend dress shirts, and as stated above, some stink always appears.
I have used this deodorant for the past week and to my amazement, NO smell, and no stains! Not even after a workout!
Pros: Awesomely healthy ingredients, no scent, dries quickly, protects against odor for a day and more, does not stain t shirt or dress shirt.
Cons: goes on wet and is a white milky substance (duh, it's a roll on) and it will take a few mins to dry and that's it
I'm telling you, try this. It's expensive but when I smell nothing from my armpits at 9 pm at night, hours after I first put it on at 630 am, I feel it's worth it.
I have not experienced any rash or insensitivity thus far. If I do, I will update.
It's so much better, having this on, than having some thick-feeling, over perfumed deodorant or antiperspirant on..... no aluminum is a huge plus.

Most of the 'hippy deodorants' actually make you smell worse. I'm not sure if they're made out of recycled onions and limburger but Nasanta is nothing like those.

THIS STUFF WORKS AND WORKS WELL. My last natural mineral salt based deodorant just didn't cut it and I had to reapply multiple times a day. This goes on easy, isn't staining my clothes and there is no hint of body odor all day on me or my clothes.
I would subtract 1/2 start if possible for the preservatives to make 4.5 stars.
Even in summer. If your still having Oder try scrubbing under arms with soap and wash cloth when in shower. Then start using deodorant.
Product is a little expensive but really works!
